Frequently asked questions
What is Swapatron?+
Swapatron is a TRON-native platform for swapping TRC-20 tokens, bridging assets to other major blockchains, and staking tokens for yield.
What is a TRC-20 token?+
TRC-20 is TRON's token standard, similar to ERC-20 on Ethereum. Most TRON-based tokens, including TRON's USDT, follow this standard.
Which networks can I bridge to from Swapatron?+
From TRON you can bridge to Ethereum, BNB Chain, Polygon, Arbitrum, Optimism, Avalanche, and Solana, with more networks planned.
Does Swapatron hold my funds?+
No. Swaps and bridges settle through smart contracts you interact with and sign yourself. Swapatron doesn't hold user funds in a custodial account.
Where do the exchange rates come from?+
Rates are pulled live from CoinGecko's public price API and refreshed roughly every 60 seconds.
Is there a fee for swapping?+
Yes, an indicative network/protocol fee of around 0.3% applies to swaps, shown in the quote before you confirm. You also pay the underlying network's gas or bandwidth cost.
How long does a bridge transfer take?+
It depends on the destination network's block times and confirmation requirements. The route preview shows the expected path before you confirm.
Is bridging riskier than a same-chain swap?+
Yes, generally. A same-chain swap depends on one contract; a bridge depends on the bridge protocol coordinating between two chains, which is a separate and real risk worth understanding before you send larger amounts.
What wallets work with Swapatron?+
Any TRON wallet (like TronLink) for TRON-side swaps, and any EVM or Solana wallet for the destination side of a bridge, depending on which network you choose.
Can I swap TRX for USDT?+
Yes, TRX to USDT-TRC20 is one of the most common pairs on Swapatron, along with other major TRC-20 tokens.
What is staking on Swapatron?+
Staking locks your TRX or a supported TRC-20 stablecoin into a pool for a chosen term in exchange for yield, paid out according to the tier you choose.
Are the staking APYs guaranteed?+
No. Listed APYs are indicative and move with pool utilization and network conditions. They are not a guaranteed or fixed return, and can decrease.
Can I withdraw staked funds early?+
Flexible staking can be withdrawn anytime. Fixed-term pools (90-day, 365-day) lock funds for that term; exiting early forfeits accrued yield.
Which tokens can I stake?+
TRX and USDT-TRC20 are supported in the flexible and 90-day tiers. The 365-day tier currently accepts TRX only.
Has the Swapatron contract been audited?+
An independent audit is currently in progress. The contract source is published and verifiable on-chain in the meantime.
Is there a bug bounty program?+
One is planned to launch alongside the audit's completion. Details will be published on the docs site.
What happens if a bridge transfer fails?+
If a bridge leg fails to complete, funds are designed to be returned to the source address; always check the transaction status on a block explorer if a transfer looks stuck.
Is there a minimum swap amount?+
There's no fixed minimum, but very small amounts may not be worth it once network fees are factored in.
Is there a maximum swap or bridge amount?+
Larger amounts may be limited by available liquidity on the destination side of a route. The quote will reflect this before you confirm.
Does Swapatron ever ask for my seed phrase?+
Never. No legitimate swap, bridge, or staking action ever requires your seed phrase or private key. Treat any request for it as a scam.
Is Swapatron affiliated with TRON or the tokens it lists?+
No. Swapatron is an independent interface for swapping and bridging tokens on TRON. Listing a token doesn't imply a partnership with its issuer.
Can I lose money using Swapatron?+
Yes — swapping, bridging, and staking all carry real financial risk, including price movement, bridge risk, and smart contract risk. Only use funds you can afford to put at risk.
How do I know a swap quote is accurate?+
The quoted rate is shown before you confirm, sourced live from CoinGecko. Always double-check the amount and destination address in your wallet before signing.
Can I add a token that isn't listed?+
Token support is added over time based on liquidity and demand. Check the docs for the current process to request a new listing.
Does Swapatron work on mobile?+
Yes, the interface is fully responsive and works with mobile TRON and EVM wallet browsers.
What's the difference between a swap and a bridge here?+
A swap exchanges one token for another on the same network. A bridge moves a token from TRON to a different network, optionally swapping it in the same flow.
Why does my quote change between opening the widget and confirming?+
Rates refresh roughly every 60 seconds and move with the live market, so a quote can shift slightly if you wait before confirming.
Can I cancel a transaction after submitting it?+
Once a transaction is broadcast to a blockchain it can't be cancelled. If it's stuck, you may be able to speed it up or replace it from your wallet, depending on the network.
How do I contact support?+
Through the official channels linked in the footer. Swapatron support will never message you first or ask you to sign something outside the app.
What's next on the roadmap?+
Completing the independent audit, launching the bug bounty, adding more bridgeable networks, and expanding staking tiers.
